As a methodologist, I love to get inspired by practical challenges in complex data constellations and I think it is essential to help transferring methodological innovations into substantive research.

Research Programm

My research focuses on quantitative practices in the field of psychometrics, causal inference, and metascience, with a special interest on the interrelation of these research fields. Specifically, I aim at developing analysis methods for fair group comparisons, psychological measurements and replication research. Possible applications span from randomized experiments to extensive large scale assessments and my work adresses traditional analysis approaches as well as modern machine learning techniques.

Teaching Portfolio

I started to teach as a student assistent in 2006. Since then, I taught various statistic courses for Bachelor, Master and postgraduate students, such as multivariate statistics, classical test theory, item response theory, structural equation modeling, and methods for evaluation research. My students in psychology, educational research and related fields  recommend my courses and nominated them for teaching awards.

Voluntary Activities

Support for early career researchers and equal opportunities for female researches are cental topics in my voluntary activities. I engaged as the young member speaker of the Method and Evaluation Section of the German Psychological Association (DGPs) during 2020/21. Together with Mirka Henninger, Pia Bechtloff and Veit Kubik, I realized a survey and panel discussions on familiy-friendly opportunities in the psychological research community.
